Non-invasive cosmetic treatments are exploding in popularity.  It seems every week there is a new device that offers a more effective way to tighten this, lift that, and even give you bigger muscles.  On this episode of The Holistic Plastic Surgery Show, we’re going to introduce you to the newest technology in cosmetic medicine.  Have you heard of Geneveve, Votiva, Emsella, Emsculpt, or the Big D Wave?  No? Most plastic surgeons haven’t either!

These are just some of the newest, non-invasive cosmetic treatments being offered by my guest this week.  You’ll learn how you can tighten “down under” in more ways than one, reduce stress urinary incontinence without even taking your pants off, enhance your abdominal muscles without doing a single sit-up, and even painlessly improve erectile dysfunction.  We cover a lot of really cool plastic surgery “toys” on this episode, so it’s truly a must-listen.

Please join me and my good friend, board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Walden, as we reveal Cutting Edge Non-Invasive Treatments To Tighten This, Lift That, and Even Get a Six Pack.

This episode a huge milestone.  Most podcasts never get to 100 episodes, and if they do, then they’re limping along by then.  The Holistic Plastic Surgery Show has reached 100 episodes and continues to grow and gain listeners.  It’s by far the most listened-to plastic surgery podcast in the United States.

So on this episode, we’re giving you the ten best pieces of advice from the first 100 shows.  This advice is simple, actionable, and can make massive differences in your health and appearance.  You’ll learn a five-minute test everyone over 50 should take in order to see if they have silent heart disease, how to tweak your breakfast for better-looking skin, what exercise everyone over 50 should be doing, what advice all plastic surgeons are giving, and much more.

Please join me and nine of my best guests to give you The Best Advice from the First 100 Episodes.

Would you consider having a cosmetic treatment?  Are you thinking about seeing a doctor for a touch of Botox, a non-invasive fat reduction procedure, or maybe even an actual surgery like a facelift or tummy tuck?  If any of these apply to you, then there is one website you absolutely must visit. Realself.com.

Realself.com is unquestionably the number one resource for prospective patients to learn about cosmetic treatments.  In today’s cluttered market filled with so much noise – promotional pitches from laser companies, unproven marketing claims from unscrupulous doctors, and even astroturfing – it’s more important than ever for prospective patients to educate themselves prior to going under the laser, needle, or knife.

On today’s episode of the Holistic Plastic Surgery Show, I’m joined by the founder and CEO of Realself.com, Tom Seery.  We’ll discuss how the online sensation got started, what fascinating information it gives to patients and consumers, and how it can help you to achieve the appearance you desire.

Please join me and Tom Seery as we reveal, “How To Empower Yourself When Considering Cosmetic Treatments.”

Fat and carbohydrates. These two macronutrients seem to always be at the center of weight loss and health debates.  Should you eat more fat or less?  Should we reduce the amount of carbs that we eat?   Well, my guest this week has a completely different approach.  It’s called Muscle Centric Medicine, and focuses on protein as the key macronutrient for optimal health, weight management, and longevity.  She believes that fat and carbs are not the answer, it’s protein.  And, after years of research, she’s developed a protocol that is easy to implement, scientifically supported, and makes a lot of sense.

So on this episode of The Holistic Plastic Surgery Show, we’ll introduce the Lyon Protocol, including why she believes we’re actually consuming too little protein for our daily needs, how to optimize your protein intake throughout the day, when to eat and when not to eat, why vegans and vegetarians need to eat more raw protein than carnivores, and how all of this works to build muscle, reduce fat, and get the body and health you desire.  It’s a revealing discussion you don’t want to miss.

Please join me and my good friend, Dr. Gabrielle Lyon, as we discuss The Lyon Protocol- A New Plan to Lose Weight, Uplevel Your Health, and Improve Your Longevity.

Stress.  We all have it, and we all respond to it differently.  While a little stress may be good for you, the stress that so many of us experience day-in and day-out can tax our adrenal glands, prematurely age our skin, and even contribute to an early death.  So how should we deal with stress?  The solution isn’t popping pills, but dealing with it in a healthy, holistic manner.

On this episode of The Holistic Plastic Surgery Show, I’m joined by a naturopathic physician and expert in dealing with stress from a natural perspective.  We’ll discuss one major type of stress that you may not have realized you have, how stress can wreak havoc on your cortisol levels, and why adrenal fatigue isn’t diagnosed by most conventional physicians but is a real issue for so many of us.  And she’ll give many simple, practical tips on how you can manage your stress and get your life back on track.

Please join me and my good friend, Dr. Doni Wilson, as we reveal Holistic Strategies to Reduce Stress and Adrenal Fatigue.

Do you want to look better without having to undergo a lot of pain, downtime, and a general anesthesia? Well, if you do, then you’re in luck.  Minimally-invasive procedures are all the rage in plastic surgery today. Now we are able to remove fat, lift necks, reshape the nose, and get rid of saggy eyelid skin with shorter recoveries, smaller scars, and less cost than ever before. Sounds good, right? Well, my guest in this episode is a master at performing these types of lunchtime procedures.

Now these aren’t necessarily treatments that are done during your lunch break, but conceivably they could be. They’re that easy to have done. And best of all, they don’t require going to the hospital, getting a general anesthesia or even an IV, and you can walk out and even drive yourself home afterwards.

Have I piqued your interest? In this episode of “The Holistic Plastic Surgery Show” we’ll explore the world of lunchtime cosmetic treatments with board-certified, Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Steven Svehlak.

Essences. Masks. Copper. Retinol. Vitamin C. Today there are more categories of skin care products and important ingredients in these products than anyone can learn and master. If you’re like the vast majority of women and men in the United States, the sheer number of different kinds and brands of skin care products on the shelves leaves you confused. Which of the hundreds of different products sitting on shelves in front of you do you actually buy?

Well, rest assured.  You’re not alone.  Most plastic surgeons and even dermatologists get confused, too.  It’s not easy to keep up with all the trends and new products in skin care today.

On today’s episode of The Holistic Plastic Surgery Show, we’re going to get to the bottom of skin care.  I’ll reveal what skin care products you need, which may be considered a helpful splurge, and which ones you can definitely avoid.  And, I’m going to give you what I consider the Ultimate Anti-Aging Skin Care Routine.

And, if you listen to the end of the episode, I’ll have a special gift for you.  Tune in for a skin care routine that will change your skin for good!

Is your home making you sick?  We tend to put a lot of focus on what we eat and how that affects our health. But did you know that exposures in our homes can create major impacts on our health as well?

This week I’m joined by a father who was pushed by his son’s bout with cancer to look at how his home may have impacted his son’s disease.  Over four years ago Ryan Sternagel’s son was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma. His prognosis was poor. However, after undergoing an integrative approach to cancer treatments, his son has survived and even thrived. It’s truly a success story of integrative medicine and a testament to the power of alternative treatments.

One of these alternative treatments was to remove anything from their home which may be contributing to his cancer.  On this episode of The Holistic Plastic Surgery Show, Ryan is going to share with us some simple tips to make your home a healthy refuge, such as how to get clean air and water in your house, what types of magnetic fields may be causing health problems, why it’s important to use natural cleaning products, and much more.

Please join me and my friend, Ryan Sternagel, as we reveal “How to Detoxify Your Home.”

Did you know that eating natural, wild caught foods can reverse disease and enhance your health?  Have you given up factory farmed meats and conventionally grown produce and seen huge positive impacts on your health?

Did you know that sulfur rich vegetables, such as kale and broccoli, aren’t necessarily good for everyone?  Or that peanut butter, one of my favorites, may harbor potentially cancer causing aflatoxins?  And that how you eat may be as important as what you eat?  Yes, you can reap major benefits from simply taking time and enjoying your food.

We’ll get the straight scoop and reveal the many benefits of going Wildatarian.

Please join me and my friend, nutrition counselor Teri Cochrane, as we reveal how you can Go Wildatarian for Optimal Health, Energy, and Vitality.

It’s estimated that over 20 million American women suffer from some form of thinning hair or hair loss.  It’s especially common in women over 65, with a whopping 50% affected by this condition.  We all know that there are a plethora of interventions to treat the symptoms of hair loss, but these treatments don’t necessarily get to the root cause, which is often hormonal.

On this episode of The Holistic Plastic Surgery Show, I’m joined by a naturopathic physician and hormone expert.  We reveal the most common causes of hair loss in women, from androgen excess to insulin resistance to nutritional deficiencies, and how to treat them naturally.  We’ll reveal what blood tests your doctor should be getting, what supplements you should consider taking, and what natural topical options can take the place of pharmaceuticals like Rogaine.

If you or someone you love is suffering from thinning hair or hair loss, and they don’t want to undergo costly procedures or take pharmaceutical medications, then this episode is a must-listen.

Are you one of the millions of women who suffer from symptoms caused from hormone imbalance, such as digestive issues, weight gain, anxiety, and mood swings?  Have you seen your physician, had your labs tested, and been told that everything is normal?  Yet you don’t feel normal.

My guest this week suffered from terrible migraines, acne, weight gain, digestive problems, and fatigue and was told by her doctors that there was nothing wrong.  But she knew there was a problem.  She took it upon herself to get treated naturally, and by making certain changes to her diet and lifestyle, her symptoms resolved completely.  All without medication.

Now she is a certified nutrition coach who is sharing her message that the food you eat can help balance your hormones.  And she’s written a beautiful cookbook, Cooking for Hormone Balance, that is a fantastic guide for women who want to follow her path and use food as your own medicine.  In this episode of the Holistic Plastic Surgery Show, we’ll cover some really fascinating topics, such as why our traditional American breakfast is terrible for hormones, how eating just a tablespoon of seeds can make profound impacts on hot flashes and night sweats, and much more.

Did you know that upwards of 70% or more of the risk of autoimmune disease, mental health issues, cancer, and, in fact, most chronic diseases is determined by diet, toxin exposure, and activity level? And, because of this, dramatically changing your diet and your exposure to environmental toxins can create incredible improvements in chronic diseases?

Well, my guest this episode is what many doctors would call a medical miracle. Years ago she was diagnosed with progressive multiple sclerosis, which left her wheelchair-bound and quickly on her way to an early death. However, after determining how to maximize the delivery of nutrients and energy to her brain cells, she was able to not only halt the progression of her disease, but reverse it. She went from being confined to a wheelchair to completing an 18 mile bicycle tour. And she did this without medications. She reversed her multiple sclerosis using the power of food.

If you have someone in your life who is suffering from autoimmune disease, and conventional medications and conventional medicine is failing him or her, then you must see or hear this episode.

Please join me and Dr. Terry Wahls, as we reveal a revolutionary diet to treat chronic autoimmune conditions.
